Hi Everyone,
We had again a great rally at Portugal. Our great team Fcaca , co-operation with Autotek did a great work to let me drive a great car. Also it was made reliable.
Road condition at Portugal especially on second loop was not very good. Actually it started to be very rough and hard for the car. Rally it self went great. I had very good feeling for the car after the test and I felt comfortable to start the rally. On Friday, I wasn´t pushing very hard, because it was first time for me at Rally Portugal. I needed to get used for the roads and pace notes for this rally. During the Friday, battle was very close between me, Nasser and P-G Anderson. On Saturday morning I started to feel more comfortable with car set-up and roads so I was able to push little harder. I made a small mistake on Saturdays first stage. We lost some 5 seconds there but still we were fastest on that stage and managed to extend our lead there.
Then Nasser had a technical trouble and he needed to stop on second stage. I´m sure without any trouble with him we would have had very tight race against him. After his retirement we just needed to concentrate to wach out to not to break our car. It is not easy, because pace notes, car-set up and everything is made to fit the maximum speed. Amazing as it is, is that car is more difficult to drive slower comparing with full speed. Well I don´t want to complain that we were on that position. Was much more nicer to drive those stages little bit slower. Otherwise risk to break car to some rock would might be bigger.
Now we start to prepare ourselves to Rally Finland. It will be great to drive on front of Finnish people on our great rally. I´m sure there will be tight rally again but just everyone of us need to do our best and I´m sure result then will be good.
On july we will have a small break on work and also on rally so will be good to have some rest also. I hope you all have been living with us on this great success. We just need to keep working together, we have great team together.
Speak you soon
Best Regards
