In Rallye de France Jari Ketomaa continued his strong form in S-WRC and finished a fine second on his first ever asphalt rally in his Shanghai FCACA Rally Team Ford Fiesta S2000.

The result has put the Finnish driver firmly in contention for the drivers' title on Wales Rally GB next month.

Swede Patrik Sandell won the category with 1.56 minutes in front of Ketomaa Series leader Xavier Pons finished fourth.

This trio will be fighting hard for the title in Wales gravel roads.

- We did very good preparation with the team so I'm more than happy to be second on my first tarmac event, told Jari.

- I noticed that my normal speed was competitive so I didn´t take any risks in this event.

- I was just training to gain the experience and avoid making any mistakes, said winner of three S-WRC rounds so far this season.
